Meet Dr. Thomas Ayres

North Raleigh Chiropractor Dr. Thomas AyresRugby Led the Way

Dr. Ayres suffered from an athletic injury at an early age. He received traditional medical treatment without satisfying results. Finally, he found himself in a chiropractor’s office and at the age of 14, already knew he wanted to make chiropractic his life’s work. Continuing to play high-level contact sports, Dr. Ayres endured many injuries. In order to stay in the game, he began to visit chiropractors on a regular basis.

Later, Dr. Ayres attended the University of Delaware and played rugby. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life College in Marietta, Ga. He was one of the first American students to attend college on a rugby scholarship. Dr. Ayres graduated from Life College with high honors in 1986. His experience as a collegiate athlete indirectly led him into the sports aspect of his practice.

Now a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.), Dr. Ayres is passionate about helping athletes heal naturally and perform better on the field through sports chiropractic care.

Dr. Ayres finds it gratifying when young athletes are brought to Ayres Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center for treatment. From helping young high school athletes to adult tennis players to weekend warriors, he welcomes athletes of all ages to find natural relief.

I get a lot of satisfaction from helping young athletes heal and recover naturally.
